Losing It All

Sitting alone in her room
She stares at the wall
She cries to herself
She remembers it all
The way she felt
When he looked in her eyes
He shattered her illusions
He saw through the lies
He promised her paradise
She lost it all
Losing her world
No one answered her call
For the briefest of moments
She forgot all the pain
Now she begins
To build walls again
The icy cold day
When her world fell apart
The one simple mistake
The two broken hearts
She opened her soul
And saw past her fears
This small, simple feat
